III.  Update from Patrick

and now for the update

The collards and the onions we sowed the other week are up.  Leeks, kale, and some oddball veggies sowed this week.  We also sowed more onions and leeks for the Garden Resource Program.

Youth Farm Stand and Growing Healthy Kids both worked on there garden plans, GHK's plans are now hanging on the wall in the dinning room of the kitchen.  Youth Farm Stand has plans for some cold weather crops, looks like they will be starting seeds soon.  In order for them to get started early, it looks like they are going to try to construct some simple cold frames.

It would be nice if we got some snow melt to start getting the place cleaned up and ready to go.  Some compost sifted, the brush piled cut down and hauled away and some of the beds prepped for those collards I mentioned before.  The weather is not looking like it is going to get warm anytime soon.  Perhaps next week.

Welcome back Lisa hope your time away was great.
