Hopes Being Realized

Have been thinking a lot about change. Summer is waning. Temperatures are decreasing. Hours of daylight are diminishing.

Yet there is an energy in the air. A new school year is starting. And maybe it will be better than last year! I see hope on the faces of the many students who visit us at the Soup Kitchen.  I observe new back packs, fresh haircuts, newly purchased shirts and sweaters. I sense enthusiasm for a better year, improved grades, new friends and a peaceful school. I so hope and pray that these hopes will be realized!
