Run hunger out of town at the Freep Marathon
Choose the Capuchin Soup Kitchen as your charity when registering for any of the Freep Marathon races and you'll be showing your support of our Franciscan mission of alleviating suffering and hunger in our community.
Urgent need for men’s and children’s clothing donations
Help your neighbors in need by decluttering your closet. Our Capuchin Services Center is facing an acute shortage of clean, gently-used men's and children's clothing. You can make a difference simply by donating your used clothes to those who need them.
On the Rise Café now open inside Solanus Casey Center
On the Rise Café, the retail outlet selling baked goods produced by returning citizens in our R.O.P.E. (Reaching Our Potential Everyday) residential program, has relocated from its original location on Gratiot Avenue and is now open inside the Solanus Casey Center.
Help the Capuchin friars in Ukraine and Poland
Our Capuchin brothers in Ukraine have decided to stay put to provide humanitarian and spiritual support to the people trapped in the warzone. Meanwhile our brothers across the border in Poland are assisting refugees fleeing Ukraine, now numbering in the millions. You can help by making a donation. 100% of donations will go directly to the friars in Ukraine and Poland so that they may continue their life-saving work.
