Coalition on Temporary Shelter

A homeless family consisting of a mother, 20 year-old daughter, 10 year-old son and year-old granddaughter approached us for help on Thursday. They had been “squatting” for the past month in an empty apartment, but had been discovered and ejected. After a several-hour, fruitless search for a shelter that could accommodate them, we placed them in a motel for the night. The following day after many more phone calls and inquiries, we were able to find a place for them at COTS (Coalition on Temporary Shelter). -Br. Jerry
