Today we celebrated the end of the growing season with our annual fall garden blessing ceremony. The celebration was centered on giving thanks for all that God offers us through the abundance of the earth. The joyous occasion was attended by a diverse group of individuals from all walks of life.

Brother Bob led the ceremony with a scripture reading. Community members, staff, volunteers, and E.A.T. participants shared their favorite items of the harvest, what they liked to grow, and what they loved to eat. We ended with the blessing of the leaves. People were allowed to take a bag with them to mix with their own mulch to place on their garden plots for the winter. After the ceremony ended; we ate delicious donut and drunk hot cider.
