Giving to the Capuchin Soup Kitchen

Our Federal Tax ID/EIN is 38-1525161. All ministries of the Capuchin Franciscan Province of St. Joseph share the same federal tax ID number and nonprofit status.

The Capuchin Soup Kitchen is a 501(c)(3) public charity and as such donations are generally tax-deductible. As always, consult your tax advisor regarding deductability of a charitable gift for information specific to your circumstances.

Yes, through our parent the Province of St. Joseph of the Capuchin Order, Inc. The Province is rated “Platinum” by Candid (formerly known as Guidestar).

Yes! We accept clean, gently used clothing in all sizes and styles, from suits and ties to tees and shorts. We also accept shoes and certain household items. For more information on donating items, including hours, see our Donate Items page.

We have a box truck and can pick up large donations. Contact us at to make arrangements. We also have pallet jacks and hi-los at our Capuchin Services Center and can receive large deliveries.
