Warm and Welcome Hats
This evening I was with our group of friends who have mental illness. We meet with this group called Faith and Fellowship every other Monday evening at the Soup Kitchen
Beginning Treatment
Last night around 8:00 I took mail to one of our guests who is now in rehab at a nearby nursing center. On my way home I spotted a guest I haven’t seen for a while at a liquor store on a common gathering corner.
Psalm 119
I was waiting this evening at a treatment center to visit a guest of the soup kitchen who is seeking help for addictions, and I met a big burley man, about 48, in the lobby, who has been there for three years—now in transitional living.
Resurrection Stories
Today at the weekly soup kitchen prayer we read from John’s Gospel about Jesus not losing anything that the Father had given him, and that he wants to raise up anyone who believes in Him on the last day.
