Gnarly Wood With Porous Pockets

A week ago we had our annual blessing of the Earth Works gardens. On this rainy day, we gathered in the greenhouse at the end of the parking lot. Assembled were some of the regular participants at our Wed. prayer, some of the staff and many young volunteers.

Rosa Parks Garden Club

The Rosa Parks Garden Club is fully active these days with twenty new enthusiastic gardeners.  One of their first projects was to plant pansies outside their homes and then share a six pack of pansies with a neighbor. All this was trying to integrate kindness and community building within the hearts of these young gardeners.

Mother’s Day Breakfast of Gratitude

The Rosa Parks Youth Program of the Capuchin Soup Kitchen recently held a Mother’s Day Breakfast of Gratitude. Mothers, Grandmothers, and Aunts all enjoyed the delicious breakfast prepared by the soup kitchen staff.

Comment of Love

I had just been gone for two weeks and on my way to the soup kitchen, I picked up James.  He got into the car and welcomed me back and gave me the greatest compliment I’ve ever received.
