Sense of Humor

Today I was sitting with “James” at lunch. He had had a stroke and recovered well and then had a brain bleed. He spent a long time in the hospital and nursing home this past year for rehab. He spoke to me at lunch about someone who was trying to take advantage of him for some work he needed done.

A Day at Antonio Cucina Italiana Restaurant

On Monday, June 16, I spent all day at Antonio’s Cucina Italiana in Canton where we celebrated the feast of St Anthony. The Capuchin Soup Kitchen was the designated recipient of all proceeds from the “free-will offering” for the noon buffet, and a portion of the dinner sales as well.

Summer In Detroit

The Detroit School year is nearly over and on Tuesday, 10 June, the Rosa Parks Program celebrated all the accomplishments of the current school year. Numerous children received awards for best attendance, peaceful spirit, creativity, study habits, most improved and those awesome participants who embody great spirit of courage, respect and participation in an outstanding way.
